Battle of the Siblings 10/7 Gather

Friday Night:

Head of the University Defense Network came into town looking for a group to go to Verloren to get pieces of paper to learn how to better deal with the Siblings. The pieces of paper were ciphered.

Sir Jared Toth and The Lord Seneschal came into town to address everyone about the Smythes.

- The Royal Family are the keepers of the prophecy

-The Prophecy can be interpreted differently during different times

-You must be extremely discreet when speaking to town travelers you don’t know when mentioning the Smythes.

-Smythes are mentioned early in the prophecy

-They are known as the Guardians of Argost

-The Smythes are not Mortal. They are meant to keep other powerful beings at bay. Like Sir Ernst the Defender of Carderia and Death Knight.

-There is a rumor that there was a formal battle started by Baron Kimball (who is known for starting formal duels and battles in good faith to see who makes the best of show of might). The battle was called against a coterie of Knights called the Blue Bloods. In these duels there is no death. Ser Ernst showed up and warned the Blue Bloods about the rules. Ser Ernst took one side of the field and watched over the battle and on the other side Lily Smythe stood and did not engage with Ernst. (Epic staredown waiting for one or the other to make a move).

-It is said they cannot attack each other. It is possible that there is a magical reason behind this.

-The Smythes are followers of Daria (The Ardent Ruby)

-It is known that there are 3 Smythes (Possibly 4). This is not a magic number. There can be more than 3, it just so happens that there are 3 now.

-The Smythes serve the Keswicks and will not help you unless it’s on their request or for the protection of them.

-The Smythes will choose the Keswicks over Argot as long as it doesn’t effect the longevity of Argost.

-The Smythe that is close by (Assumed High Lord Inquisitor) Is old. Older than a Smythe should be. Smythes usually have a mortal life

Wicke Library

When a librarian of the Wicke’s dies because they have served their life in service of history they have the ability to become a spirit of knowledge and remain attached to a book which manifests as the Librarian to regale history.

-There was a Dias found in our lifetime

-The Siblings lived in Argost with the Brightons between 275-325 years ago.

Battle of the Crimson Fields

-A gate opened and many different things emerged from it. Animals merged with people, Gollems, Magical Beings that “crackled”, Magical Abominations, Undead, many aggressive things.

-Lorde Wicke (The head of house wicke at the time) was at Heizen Keep and marched on the Crimson Fields

-Lorde Wicke had 2 sons. Cornelius, who remained at Heizen Keep and Isaac Wicke, who was later knighted. (Isaac is presumed to be the Ser Wicke who defends the Siblings)

-Lorde Wicke was taken from duty of commanding the Crimson Fields by Prince Cassius (Not to be confused with Sen Solis Crassus) Keswick. There were 3 Brightons that served Prince Cassius and these 3 siblings were a force of nature.

• -Atticus Brighton (Blue)- Originator of the Ritual Pillar of Flame and Master Atchmage and Ritualist.

• -Sister (Red)- Infiltrator and Master Illusionist, Knight of Venom

• -Brother (Silver) Martial genius.

During their time there were different kinds of Dragon blooded. -Red, Green, Blue, Silver, and Black

The Battle:

Atticus’ flame spiral ritual leveled a small city in flames and killed everyone near by

Because of this it the place was names the Crimson Fields

The Library Spirit told us they couldn’t give us a lot of details about what happened but here are some facts:

• At the end of the battle the Siblings and Prince Keswick went through the gate with a bunch of forces. No one knows what was on the other side. With them went Ser Isaac Wicke who was a Knight of Tyranny and has impressive battle prowess and uses immense intellect in fighting.Going through the gate was specifically forbidden.

• Because of these actions All of the Knights of House Brighton were stripped for 50 years and couldn’t be knighted again. It was 2 kings later before they could have knights again.

• House Wicke gained favor with the Keswicks because of this battle

• When Atticus performs this ritual it lays claim to the land magically that it effects.

Temple of Nikko The Tactician in Prokelti’svah

We met an Angel. Mikelazel- Angel of none

We had to go through multiple rooms of a temple and were attacked by priests that were not longer what they used to be.

When we finally got to the angel he told us that he tried to keep the priests asleep until they could get help.

The Angel had been asleep for many years.

Divine power works differently depending on who has it

The longer a divine being stays in a place they begin to take on aspects of where they are (energy or power from that place)

We have a piece of Mikelazel. It’s a magical leaving. Only very powerful rituals can create a magical leaving or the touch of a god.

If the angel stayed in the temple he will no longer have a purpose.

The temple we were at moves locations.

Chats with Crassus from Sen Solis

-People of Sen Solis pray to the Sun King and his answers are seen as oaths sworn to him (as if they are first laws)

If a first law is broken a high priest of the Sun King will come and enact justice on the Sun King’s behalf

When a First Law is broken cosmic harm is done.

The Sun King is concerned about a power being residing in Gerald’s Lance (Smythe. WE DID NOT TELL HIM ABOUT THE SMYTHES)

Continent is called Chernagora

There are creatures in Bagristi like Sir Ernst and the Smythes

The arrival of the Smythe in Gerald’s Lance has upset the balance of the world.

Sen Solis recommends that this creature never come here again.

This will be a negotiation sticking point when we go to negotiate the treaty with them

We spoke on behalf of our Druids and made certain no harm would come to them and Crassus swore this would be the case so long as there was no insurrection by them.

Asked if Fenora is like one of these power beings, Crassus said yes.

Druids from Sen Solis are not permitted back in Sen Solis, but that would not be the same for our Druids.

Sen Solis druids are probably residing in Prokleti’svah

“It is a concern that beings such as Ser Ernst serve weaker beings”

These power beings by existing in their own roles and places create balance for the world. When they are in places they shouldn’t be the balance gets thrown off.

We asked what happens when that balance is off- The answer was Death, Destruction, and Apocalypse.

This balance extends not only for these beings but to things remaining as they are. For instance- If we destroy a great number of people from Bagristi it will be detrimental to all of Bagristi and will have negative effects on the rest of the world, such as the Sun King.
