Message from Garreth, Acolyte in Service to the Sun King
Much appreciation to all that were able to visit our Great City-state, and to celebrate the opening of your new Embassy. For those I may not have had the opportunity to meet, my name is Garreth, acolyte in service to my Divine Lord. At the request of His Excellency, the following events transpired over the past few days. Our wise king foresaw the need to sunder the Divine and Druidic wards guarding chambers that, until recently, were inaccessible. The room beyond has commonly been referred to as the Druid Chambers within Sen Solis. As I understand it, those that were able to access the Chambers obtained various documentation that has survived untouched for centuries. I am not privy to the details that were gathered, but hope to obtain copies for our archives. As the night grew long, I was "visited" by a man who referred to himself as Veilios. He inquired about what had transpired that My Liege allowed access to the chambers that have sat dormant so very long. We had several brief exchanges, but he indicated he was not able to "stay" very long and asked that I capture the below details.
Veilios appreciated the opportunity to converse with others, and that you were welcoming to him. There is regret that he was unable to answer all your questions, and that your time together was so short. Existing as long as he has, potentially for millennia, it is often difficult to recall precise times when things have occurred or accurately mark the passing of time. Veilios indicated that he, like others, have visions of what the future may hold, and that portents may suffer similar challenges. You may see that something is to occur, but not know when or how close or distant these events may be to and from each other - particularly in precisely mapping how soon events may occur in sequence. The questions you asked encouraged him, as it showed you were on the right path. He believes that you show the discernment to distinguish truth from propaganda, and understand who truly works on the side of good. Veilios hopes you are able to find the answers he himself was unable to provide. Seek the tutelage of his friend and mentor that you would likely know as the Headmaster.
Galena’s Notes from talking to Veilios:
He’s originally from a place south of here that no longer exists
The mageocracy existed during his life time (but already existed when he was born)
The pantheon is ‘a finger on the scale’
He is speaking of our gods, who were here then (the pantheon)
He doesn’t consider druids to be a faith
He feels the pantheon puppets people
Cannot answer what he has faith in.
Cannot answer why he can’t answer.
(Lucene asked about dusk and shadow)
The Sun god is often associated with light, but he may have less free will than he believes
Velios believes the Son God (yes, that’s how it’s spelled) is controlled by the pantheon
Why did he oppose the pantheon → because the primordials were indifferent to us (mortals), the gods are not
He asked if we knew the lineage of the Son King? (could not confirm Sin-Eater)
He will open a path to make us able to let him speak more, seek out the headmaster
Zayden:
The power that he draws on is “in between” arcane, divine, primal and occult.
Lisa/Lucene:
I was under the impression that a lot of what was written cited the Pantheon as being indifferent to the people but he did say they weren't when we met him.

Awaken, citizens!
Where once there were ancient gods that truly cared about the people, they have been displaced. They left us to our own actions, truly free in our will.
Now, you’re called upon - nay, commanded - to bow down to gods that care only how they’re strengthened by your adoration.
Yet, what do they do for you?
They merely put their fingers upon the scale when it suits them, with little thought to your health, prosperity, or happiness.
And with an instrument of their will on the throne, one must ask: does he rule with your needs in mind?
Or are you merely an afterthought while the Son King enacts the wishes of the gods?
It’s time to see things for what they really are and take action.

The Light That Blinds
Citizens of Sen Solis,
You have been told that the King is the beacon of prosperity and order. But look around you! Are you free, or are you chained by the weight of his lies?
Beneath the golden banners of the King lies the truth they do not want you to see:
The Druids, the stewards of this land, are outsiders that don’t progress to leading roles in their own society, because they don’t adhere to the state religion.
The gods, whom the King serves, do not bless you. They exploit you. The gods thrive on your devotion while draining your life force for their endless games of power.
The King, far from being your protector, is a puppet. His strings are pulled by divine hands that seek to crush the mortal spirit.
What do they fear?
They fear unity. They fear you seeing the truth. They fear that when the caretakers of the land, the laborers, the scholars, and the soldiers rise together, the false light of the Son King will be extinguished.
Join the Truthseekers. Break the chains. Let the land be ruled by those who cherish it, not those who exploit it.
"The light may shine brightly, but it is the shadows where truth resides."

The Son King: Puppet of the Gods
DO NOT BE DECEIVED!
The Son King wears the crown of mortals, but his heart belongs to the gods. They whisper in his ears, guiding his every move—not for your benefit, but for their own schemes.
The gods demand your worship, but why? What have they done to earn it? They send the Son King, a living symbol of their oppression, to rule over you as if divine right gives him any claim to our lands and lives.
Those not bound to the “Divine calling” see this truth. Yet those who do not follow the pantheon are not valued. They are ignored and denied a place in society, a meaningful seat at the table.
To the people of Sen Solis, ask yourselves:
Why does the King build temples to the gods? Do the people demand more places to worship, or are the gods compelling him to do so?
Why does he silence non-believers, the ones who protect our forests, rivers, and lands?
Does the Son King even know that he’s enacting the will of the gods? Or is even he blind to those that pull the string?
We call to you now, fellow citizens! Together, we can break the divine yoke. Together, we can show the gods they are no longer welcome among mortals.
The King is a symbol of their control. Tear him down, and the Pantheon will crumble.
REMOVE THE BLINDFOLDS FORCED UPON YOU. THE GODS DO NOT OWN YOU.

The Path Forward
TO THE PEOPLE OF SEN SOLIS,
The Son King and his divine masters expect you to kneel. Yet what have they done for you?
We say: NO MORE.
The gods’ only power is that what you give to them.
Withdraw your devotion.
Take back your lives. Stand with those who refused to be blinded by the false light of the Pantheon.
Stand with those that will not rest until the Son King falls.
The choice is simple: Will you continue to toil for the glory of gods who see you as disposable tools?
Or will you rise, break the chains, and reclaim what is yours?
We wait in the shadows, preserving the wisdom and strength to end this tyranny. We cannot do it alone. We need your courage. We need your voice.
Rise with us. Let the gods know they are no longer welcome here.

Tavern Sign: “The False King”
BEWARE THE FALSE KING
The Son King claims dominion over the realm, but his rule comes not from justice—it comes from fear.
Ask yourselves:
Why do the gods demand your worship if they are truly divine?
Why do soldiers die for gold that lines a king’s coffers and not their own families?
The light blinds, but the truth hides in shadows. Seek it, and you shall find liberation.
Spread the word. Together, we are unstoppable.

Dear friends,
They say we live in a perfect society.
One that reflects the will of the gods. We give them adoration, and they in turn may choose to sustain our lives.
Yet, do you see evidence of their positive intervention? Is your life filled with happiness, health, and good fortune when you send up your words of adoration?
Or does the world continue apace, with illness and other fortunes befalling you as though the pantheon you worship, you tithe for, you praise at every state event ignores you?
Who do you want to decide the course of your fate? Yourself or dogs that fail to take a passing interest in you.

The Pantheon’s Puppet
WHO DO THE GODS PROTECT?
Not the farmers—they take your harvest.
Not the soldiers—they send you to die for their glory.
Not the merchants—they tax your trade for the temples.
The Son King claims to rule for the gods, but it is clear: the gods only protect themselves.
We are silenced because we will not blindly submit. Will you continue to serve under their boot heels?
Stop cowering. Start rising. The gods do not own you.
Veilios/Agent letters
Letter 1: From Veilios to His Faithful Ally
May
I trust this missive finds you safe and steadfast in your resolve. For now our efforts are delicate yet vital; progress must be measured in whispers, not roars.
You are tasked with finding those who share our vision. Begin in the markets and the taverns. Seek out the disillusioned, the forgotten, the outcasts who feel the weight of the King’s tyranny most keenly. These are our allies. These are the seeds of discontent.
Remember, the people must awaken themselves to the truth. We cannot force them to see, but we can guide their gaze. Speak of the King’s deceit not as accusation but as revelation. Let them question what they have been told. The greatest rebellion begins in the heart, not the sword.
I have sent others to different quarters of Sen Solis with similar tasks. Should you encounter them, remember that even among allies, discretion is paramount. The King’s eyes and ears are everywhere.
Trust in the shadows, for the light blinds those who walk too boldly in it.
In unity,
Veilios

Veilios,
While so many are under the sway of the Son King and the pantheon, there are threads of discontent. Your words resonate with them—they just need a spark.
I have begun to sow doubt about the Pantheon. Whispers spread quickly in the taverns and stalls. Those who are not part of the key religion grumble. Some, who were satisfied enough, see a bit of light in the shadows and take interest in our work.
But it is slow going. As the momentum grows, I think about one question that comes solidly to mind. Tell me: are we prepared for the consequences of a possible rebellion? Can we allay their fears?
In quiet reflection,
Your agent in the field

To my trusted confidante,
The seeds of doubt have been planted, but they must be watered with care. Rebellions take time to foment, and from my unique vantage point, time is on our side in this.
A premature move will expose us all, and the King will strike down our cause before it takes root. Instead, it’s important for you to continue to find those who are disenfranchised, or those who have questions are willing to listen.
For example, consider the Druids. Since they don’t partake in the broader state religion, they’re held apart. You might lean into that messaging and help them see it not as being simply different, but being held back. Ask them to show you one Druid in a high role, one Druid with the concentrated wealth of the kingdom, one Druid who has the ear of the king. They only raise up those they can control.
Once you’ve wrought despair, build them back up. They are not outcasts; they are the lifeblood of this rebellion.
As for the populace, continue to press upon them the hypocrisies of the throne. Let their anger simmer. Let it grow. When the moment comes, their fury will be the hammer that shatters the Son’s gilded crown.
Be vigilant, my friend. The light blinds, but the shadows see all.

Veilios,
The Druids’ trust is hard-won, but it is coming. The messages about their disconnection from the halls of power have resonated.
More broadly, progress continues slowly. Some fear what rebellion might bring—more bloodshed, more seclusion. I remind them that the King’s false peace is no peace at all. Slowly, they are beginning to believe.
If we can show them the Son King’s weakness, I think they will rally fully to our cause. Do you have a vision for how this might be done?
Ever vigilant,
Your voice among the Druids

September
To my trusted ally,
All progress is good progress. You’ve proven worthy of my trust and this mission. Now, it is time to take broader action.
Continue to lean on the Druids and remind them of that which they cannot hold. But it’s also time to find those who do not willing come to the Son King’s table. Perhaps simply those who do not wish to live under the rule of a religious autocracy. It’s time to be more creative and explore those groups which could be our allies.
I’d even suggest that you look for opportunities to sow a bit of discontent. If our message is do the gods you serve in turn serve you, let’s show them they do not. It’s time to consider burning a field, poisoning a well, slaughtering livestock. Small things that compound, hailing misfortune down on those eager to seek the gods’ favor.
Be subtle. Be patient. And also take action. I believe in you and rely on you to get this done.

October
Veilios,
The Pantheon’s priests grow restless. They preach louder and warn of “dark forces” rising against them. They do not yet know we are here, but they feel the tremors of the rebellion we are building.
I have spoken quietly to a few disillusioned acolytes. Some are questioning the gods’ motives. I believe we can turn these doubts into action. However, the higher ranked priests and the nobles are so surely entwined, we are largely unable to gain their favor.
I’ve taken the actions that you suggested in a few villages, then paid others (handsomely and discreetly) to ask how the gods could do this to the faithful. It sows some discontent, although the social order and the priests powers quickly suppress it. The tactic is working, and I’ve started to unleash a plan to do this at a larger scale.
If we expose the hypocrisy of the gods, I believe even the faithful might falter. Do you have materials that might help make the case?
In quiet reflection,
Your servant

November
My trusted friend,
It is good to hear that our work is well received. It’s time to take stronger action.
When you poison the wells, tell them the guiding hands of the druids are needed to heal the land. Burn the farms in the northern region and ask: who protects your borders, including the gods and the king?
It is time that you intensify your actions and your message. Remind the people they were once free from the gods. They lived their lives as they willed, unencumbered.
No gods demanding adoration. No church of the state. No tithing whether they want to or not. What would that gold mean back in their pockets? Even if they give it willingly, remind them they get nothing in return. These gods at most meddle to their own whims and agendas, not answering worshipper petitions.
And still their king demands more and more, a (perhaps) unknowing fleshly representation of the corrupt power of the gods.
It’s time to strike a blow that will shake their belief in the King’s invincibility.
Eagerly awaiting news of your success,
Velios

Trusted one,
The time draws near. Our whispers will soon become a roar that cannot be silenced.
The King grows wary. His priests sense the tide shifting, but they cannot stop it. The people are beginning to see the light for what it is: a tool of control, not illumination.
Stay vigilant. Our cause cannot afford mistakes now. When the shadows rise, they must rise as one.
The people shall be out from under the thumb of the corrupt gods soon.
In unity and defiance,
Veilios

Friend,
Our time is almost upon us.
The whispers of rebellion have grown into murmurs, and soon, they will be a deafening cry for freedom. The Son King’s golden throne is trembling, and the Pantheon’s grasp on our realm is weakening.
You have done your part, planting seeds of doubt, sowing the truth in the hearts of the people. But now, we must prepare for action. The rebellion must strike decisively, and when we do, we must ensure that all know it is not just the King we fight—it is the gods themselves.
Prepare your networks. Gather your allies. The sun is setting, and the shadows are rising.
In unity and defiance,
Veilios

Veilios,
The people are ready. The Druids are whispering of action. Some merchants and farmers alike quietly stockpiling resources. Even a few disillusioned priests are beginning to question the Pantheon’s motives.
Your vision has inspired them. They see the Son King for what he is—a pawn of the gods—and they are eager to rise. But they wait for the signal. They need to know when and where the first blow will fall.
Tell me, Veilios: where does the rebellion begin?
In the shadows,
Your loyal hand
MANIFESTO
The Truth in the Shadows: A Call to Liberation
I. The Son King: A Puppet in the Hands of the Gods
The Son King claims to rule by divine right, but whose will does he truly serve?
The gods he venerates are not protectors of the people, nor are they benevolent caretakers of our land. These gods demand worship yet offer no answers, take sacrifices yet provide no blessings, and spin celestial games while mortals toil in uncertainty. They do not ask for our devotion out of love—they require it, as though obedience itself is their sustenance.
And the Son King? He stands not as a sovereign in service to the people, but as a pawn on the gods’ celestial board. He does not oppress us with crushing taxes or burnt fields; his yoke is not one of chains, but of quiet indifference—the indifference of a man who has chosen allegiance to the heavens over his own people.
Even if his intentions are pure, how can we trust a ruler whose every move may be guided by the whispers of beings who care nothing for our lives?
We ask: Can you trust a king who may not even know he is a puppet? Can you trust a throne whose power flows not from the strength of its people but from unseen forces that hold no love for this world? The Son King may wear the crown, but it is the gods who pull the strings.
Beneath his shining throne lies a foundation of divine control. His proclamations are gilded with the language of righteousness, but they are born from the will of those who view us as pawns. They have not nurtured us, nor guided us—they have only demanded.
Let us not be blinded by his radiance. Let us instead see the truth beneath his light: that it casts long shadows, in which freedom and dignity are quietly smothered.
II. The Gods: Demanding but Disinterested
Long ago, our people knew a different way of life. Before the Pantheon rose to dominance, we lived in balance with powers who neither demanded our devotion nor meddled in our affairs. These were forces of nature, vast and impartial, neither requiring worship nor exerting control. But the gods of today are not like those ancient powers. They are creatures of vanity, jealous for adoration, and disinterested in anything but their own glory.
Why must we kneel to gods who do not kneel to us? Why must our labor build temples to beings who do not toil alongside us? The Son King tells us this is the natural order, that it is his duty to lead us in service to the divine. But the natural order is not domination. It is not servitude. The gods’ power is only what we give them. Without our offerings, their temples would crumble. Without our devotion, their names would fade into obscurity.
This is the truth they seek to hide: Their rule is not eternal. Their light is not inevitable. Their demands are not righteous—they are arbitrary. And the Son King, for all his claims of sovereignty, does not see this. Or worse: he sees it and chooses to ignore it.
III. The People’s Power: A Rallying Cry
To the laborers who toil in the fields, to the merchants who trade in the markets, to the soldiers who march at the gods’ behest—this is your truth: You hold the power, not the gods. You hold the strength, not the throne.
The gods do not shape the world; you do. Their authority is a fragile illusion, upheld only by the faith and toil of those who believe in it. Stop kneeling, and their altars will turn to dust. Turn away, and their dominion will wither. The Son King does not rule by fate or divine mandate—he rules because you have been made to believe you have no choice. But you do.
To the people of Sen Solis, we ask: What happens when the farmers keep their harvests for themselves, when the soldiers lay down their swords, when the merchants refuse to tithe to the temples? What happens when the people, united, decide to bow no longer? This is not rebellion—it is liberation. It is the reclaiming of your power, your freedom, your destiny.
We do not call for chaos. We call for clarity. We call for unity. We call for the strength to see the truth and act upon it.
IV. Our Vision: A World Reclaimed
Imagine a world where mortals live not as pawns of indifferent gods, but as masters of their own fate. Imagine a Sen Solis where the fields flourish for the people, not the temples; where every soldier fights not for divine wars, but for their own families’ safety; where every scholar can speak freely without fear of offending celestial egos. This is not a dream—it is a possibility.
We do not seek anarchy but balance. A world where mortals need not kneel to any god. A world where the Druids, citizens like any other, are honored for their stewardship of the land rather than excluded from seats of power by divine decree. A world where truth, not fear, guides us.
This vision is within reach. But it requires courage. It requires unity. It requires the strength to reject the chains of divine will and to build a world where mortals stand free.
V. A Call to Awareness
To all who read this: The Son King is not your savior. He is not your protector. He is a man bound by the gods, a king whose light blinds him to the truth. Do not let his gilded throne deceive you. Do not let the gods’ demands control you.
The power is yours. The choice is yours. Stand together, and the light of falsehood will give way to the clarity of the shadows. Together, the people of Sen Solis can reclaim their world, their freedom, their lives.
Let the people rise.
